• Growth Habit:It’s an herbaceous annual with an upright spreading growth habit. It has a relatively fine texture compared to other garden plants.
• Landscape Uses:‘Carita Cascade Deep Purple’ is suitable for various landscaping applications, including mass planting, border edging, general garden use, container planting, and hanging baskets. It’s often used as a “filler” in container combinations.
• Care Requirements:
  • Sunlight:It thrives in full sunlight, requiring at least 6 hours of direct sun per day.
  • Watering:It prefers average to evenly moist conditions but will not tolerate standing water. It’s important to allow the soil to dry out between waterings to prevent root rot.
  • Soil:It’s not particular about soil type or pH.
  • Fertilizing:Fertilize lightly with a balanced, slow-release fertilizer monthly or bi-monthly.
  • Pruning:Minimal pruning is required, primarily to remove any dieback.
